Confession’s of an Exhausted Mama

ConfessionsMy soul longs for more of God everyday.  I adore my special time with Him. But I tend to get addicted to the pretty days.

But when the surroundings don’t look as elegant as I want them to be and I find myself physically weak yet spiritually strong, I know I can officially tell my flesh it has lost and God has won.

When it takes me all day to get all my dishes hand washed because of 1,000 interruptions, I will praise You.  When I can’t find my hair brush and I am having a hard day so I declare it Pajama Party Day, I will praise You.

When all I want to do is jump and praise You at church but my kids completely forgot about the 5 minute pep talk I just gave them about respect and they won’t let me worship, I will pray to You.

When I run to my 3 x 3 area in the closet lined with a Pooh Bear infant quilt for my prayer closet, I will pray to You, even if for 5 seconds before the kids find me…

The list goes on folks, but this mama will keep going and will not faint.

It’s in the daily grind of choosing to live for Him and give Him praise still, that we will find we are being grown and stretched for Kingdom Purpose.

Tweet: Putting one foot in front of the other, day after day, is where our endurance is tested. We can't have the destination without the journey.

Romans 5:4 Amplified Bible

And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of [a]character (approved faith and [b]tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] [c]joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.
