MAKING THE MOST OF THE GIFT OF LIFE

WITH FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES BY MY SIDE

BUT YOU OH LORD, ARE MY SOURCE OF JOY

I was inspired to capture the beauty of the gifts I’ve been given to enjoy today.  I am so thankful for even those things some may call simple.  They are profound to me.  And if God cares so much about the details of our lives, I know they are profound to Him as well.

When my husband bought me War Room, a new Christian film just recently released, I knew we needed to watch it right away.

It is in those personal struggles, those deep longings and prayers for breakthrough, that seem to stretch us beyond what who we ever thought we could be.  With Christ in us, what seemed impossible once before, doesn’t seem so big a deal after all.

Of course all this comes after realizing how great and mighty our Father God really is.  We can’t figure Him out or know it all completely, this side of Heaven, but we can see His majesty and glory all around us by His handiwork.

The starts He crafted.  The winds that exist.  Our bodies.  Etc.

His Word is True.  His children’s hearts beat in tandem with His.  We draw close to Him, He does the same.  We never want to be without His presence and we exalt His Holy Name.  Anything that pulls us away from Him screams, red flag, red flag and we heed His loving arms that act as boundaries for us.

We long for more of Him and thank Him for those new mercies every morning we awake.  Grace. It is like a gift, wrapped in a gold-rimmed bow, just waiting to be opened every day.

Life. The gift of true love, from a perfect and true lover, father & Savior.
