“….my enemies flee! This one thing I know: God is for me! I am trusting God-oh, praise his promises! I am not afraid of anything mere man can do to me!..” Psalms 56:10-11
As we await the news that our approval of a home loan may fall through with this certain company, hinging on one tiny detail they waited until now to tell us about -we will purpose ahead of time to praise Him, no matter the outcome.
It is hard to praise through the raging tide of a storm inside. But God calmed a big one before, and I am trusting He will do that with me too.
To calm the storm inside of me.
But this morning there is much reason to praise, because God reminded me life is not about the things on this earth. We can get so easily wrapped up in materials that our vision becomes tunneled.
Yesterday was emotional. Last night He reminded me not worry about only food and clothes, but not worry about shelter either.
And this morning as I read His Word, He reminded me it is the state of my heart that is more important than the location of our house.
So no matter what the lender decides, I can know it is well with my soul.
If you are doing all you can to keep your head above water in a situation that has caused you to completely rely on God~you are not alone! We are blessed to be have a God who wants us to rely on HIM instead of the other way around.
